John (Jack) McKay grew up in Garden City, New York. He received a degree in History and English from Colgate University in 2017, graduating magna cum laude. During his 1L summer, John worked as a summer associate at Terrence Johnson in Chicago. In addition to his work for the Journal on Emerging Technologies, John is also an oralist and Team Leader for the Moot Court Board’s Jessup International Law Team.  In his free time, he is an avid hiker and enjoys backpacking trips to national parks.
