Michelle was born in El Salvador but has lived in Houston, Texas, for most of her life. She received a B.S. in Political Science with a minor in Spanish Legal Translation from the University of Houston, where she served as President of the Pre-Law Association. During her 1L summer, she worked as a Summer Associate at a large Houston law firm and was selected as an LCLD Scholar. Now a 2L, Michelle has gained additional experience working with administrative law judges as well as with the Texas Railroad Commission and the Texas General Land Office. She currently serves as the Vice President of FGP, and is a member of the Global Human Rights Clinic. Previously, she worked on multiple political campaigns and as a teacher at KIPP. In her free time, Michelle enjoys camping, crocheting, sewing, roller skating, and dancing.
