Eric Leis is from Worcester, Pennsylvania. Eric graduated from Notre Dame in 2011 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Following graduation, he served in the United States Navy as a Nuclear Surface Warfare Officer. For his 1L summer, Eric worked as a research assistant for Professor Samuel Bray. During his 2L summer, he was a Summer Associate at Barnes and Thornburg, LLP in South Bend, Indiana. In addition to the journal, Eric is the President of the Military and Veteran Law Society and the founder of the Law School Running Group. Eric’s wife, Megan, is also a Navy Veteran and Notre Dame alum. They have one son, Jimmy.
