JP Kolnik is from Washington Township, New Jersey. JP graduated from Villanova University with a B.A. in Arab and Islamic Studies and a Minor in Business. During his 1L summer JP worked as Professor Rick Garnett’s research assistant for the Program on Church, State & Society. For his 2L summer, JP worked as a litigation intern at the law firm Ruta Soulios & Stratis LLP. In addition to the Journal, JP serves as teaching assistant for Professor Samuel Bray’s course on constitutional law. JP is also a member of the Notre Dame Folk Choir’s Executive Board, and in his free time enjoys college basketball, classical music, horror movies, and hiking.
