Katie Johns is from Chicago, Illinois. She graduated from Loyola Marymount University in 2016 with a degree in film, theater, and entertainment public relations. Prior to law school, Katie worked in the public relations department for the 21st, 22nd, and 23rd Screen Actors Guild Awards as well as the 60th and 61st GRAMMY Awards. During her 1L summer, Katie worked as an intern for John Molloy & Associates, a personal injury firm in Chicago, Illinois. During her 2L summer, Katie was a summer associate at the intellectual property firm Neal & McDevitt. In addition to the Journal, Katie is a certified legal intern for the Intellectual Property and Entrepreneurship Clinic. Katie is also the NDLS student representative for the organization Chicago Women in IP (ChiWIP).
