Volume I Submissions Period for Student Notes Now Open

The Notre Dame Journal on Emerging Technologies (JET) is accepting submissions for publication in the first volume of the Journal.  The topic of Volume I is Alternative Energy. Examples that fall under the topic include: biofuel development, microgrid technology, energy optimization through the Internet of Things and blockchain transactions, public and private climate action plans and, more broadly, energy topics of substance given the current political climate.  Submissions can focus on legal, scientific, policy, or ethical issues in line with the volume topic.

The deadline for submissions is Sunday, June 2 at 11:00 PM.

If selected, the student authors will be published with a citation in Volume I of the Notre Dame Journal on Emerging Technologies.

Submission Requirements

  1. The student-written note should be at least 10,000 words (including footnotes).
  2. Please email all submissions to ploy@nd.edu by the above deadline.
  3. Please attach two PDF versions of each submission: one version including the author’s name and one version without the author’s name or any other identifying attributes.

Evaluation Process

  1. The anonymous version will be presented to the Editorial Board in the selection process.  The Editorial Board will make recommendations for publication to the Editor-in-Chief. Based on the recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief will make a final decision regarding publication of each submission.
  2. All submissions will be graded on the substantive and technical quality of the student-written note as well as its relevance to the volume topic.

JET is looking forward to reading each submission.  Please feel free to contact the Executive Notes Editor, Peter Loy, with any questions or clarifications.
